Water Whiskey Wine Carafe Decanter American Brilliant Period Cut glass Crystal

  

This is a gorgeous Antique Decanter that could be used for anything or displayed. Measure: 11-1/4" tall with stopper, and about 6" wide body & handle. It is from the American brilliant period, (late 1800's to 1915) which is over 100 years old now!

Gorgeous pinwheel/buzzstar design- reminds me of Quaker city "Dixie" pattern or "Melrose" pattern. Very versatile pattern to pair to buzzstar cut glasses of any size/shape few minor fleabites hidden in the pattern that no one will ever see. Condition: This is 110 years old by now. I don't think this is the original stopper, but I do think it is a Brilliant period Stopper from another piece married to it. I think the original was the shape shape just maybe a bit taller. This one will work with it but but will wobble if you touch it so it doesn't fit perfect. This has no cracks or spout damage.

The handle looks good condition with no cracks or fractures where it attaches to the body. The inside bottom has some white cloud stain residue from age and having liquid sit in it once. This appears to be the type that can be cleaned out by a professional with no problem- it is not etched into the glass. You can also display it like this without cleaning it.

Therefore it will be treated as such. I pack to survive, but if they break it I will need pictures to file the claim online. However, shippers do not just honor claims online anymore with the photo's only- now they tend to ask for an inspection of the item.
