Vintage CZECH HAIDA BOHEMIAN DECANTER GOLDEN AMBER Cut CLEAR Engraved GRAPEVINE
This listing is for the most enchanting Art Deco Karl Palda for Haida Novy Bor, 1930s, MOSER CZECH golden amber cased liqueur DECANTER SET (with 6 matching faceted liqueur glasses) cut to clear with fruiting grapevine beautifully engraved in the finest detail that fills up the front panel. I have tried to photograph it but it is so much better in reality. I have seen many of these and have owned a few but this is delightful with the engraved leaf and grape pattern, especially when the decanter and glasses are a matched set.. The detail is magnificently performed. The engraved pattern is just on the front with a different Art Deco inspired pattern on the back, with panels of engraved to clear complimentary leaf pattern....
The stopper is immaculate with curved faceted edges and engraved to clear to match the body. The six ten sided glasses are very pretty indeed. They are also cut to clear with with same pattern mirrored in the cut to clear pattern of leaf and grape... GREAT FOR THAT SPECIAL CABINET FOR COLLECTORS....
The stopper fits nice and tightly. There are a few irregularities in the polishing of the outer edge of the stopper making it uneven slightly but this was done when it was made and is not damage. There are no chips on the stopper. There is one tiny fleabite nibble on one of the liqueur glasses... The measurements are 9 1/2 tall x 5 wide at widest point x 2 1/4 deep approx.The liqueur glasses are 2 3/4 tall x 2 3/8 across top tip x1 1/2 across base diameter.
