ROBERT BURNS Sulphide Portrait Cut Glass Decanter JOHN FORD. PLEASE NOTE: Artificial lighting/angles used during photography to show detail may make colors appear lighter. Beautiful decanter with simple zigzag cuts on the vertical ribs of the glass facets with matching stopper.
Robert Burns in profile surrounded by etched wreath with his name above after a portrait by Joseph Moore. Part of a long time collection of Sulphides. Measures: 10 3/4" tall by 4" across widest point Marked: see photo J. Moore on shoulder of sulphide, Patent London on back of sulphide, most probably an Apsley Pellatt sulfide/John Ford Decanter Condition: Very Good (Nice and clean with no chips or cracks to glass, wear on bottom, minor bit of cloudiness on bottom of interior).
