Pair of Antique English Silver Plate & Cut Glass Wine Decanters. With the season beginning to change, we are reminded of fall and the coming holidays ahead. Were going to continue our sale of beautiful china and silver items that have been in my family for many years. They are all in wonderful condition so please be confident in your purchasing. This is an amazingly beautiful pair of antique English silver plate & cut glass wine decanters. As children, we remember very special bottles of wine being brought up from the cellar, poured into these decanters, and set at opposite ends of the table. While these decanters were often in use, my Grandmother insisted that they be cleaned after each use. You will find both the outside and inside in remarkable shining condition. The glass portion of each decanter is patterned in a large and then smaller diamond design with a tapered neck leading to the silver plate covered pourer and handle decorated with a carved griffin.
