Magnificent Antique ABP American Brilliant Cut Glass Oval Decanter

  
Gorgeous Oval shaped American Brilliant decanter. It is cut all around in with alternating cut zippers and notches. The neck is paneled and zipper cut as well. This pattern was popular with the Meridian Glass Company as well as with the Libbey Glass Company. This decanter has a beautiful triple notched applied handle topped with a flattened thumb rest. It has at tri-spout pouring lip. There are 32 beautifully cut rays on the bottom.

It has a large teardrop inside and it fits perfectly, The stopper is free of chips or cracks. This piece is not signed but the quality of the water white blank and the magnificent cutting technique is immediately apparent.

The condition is very good to excellent. I see no chips, cracks, or repairs. Because of the very finely cut pattern, it is possible there may be a tiny fleabite that I haven't found.

There is some calcium deposit on the bottom of the decanter. This decanter is 10.5" tall to the top of the stopper and 6" wide. It weighs 2.5 lbs.
