Lovely American Brilliant Period ABP Cut Glass 13 Decanter Libbey Stratford. Description: Heavy Bell shaped decanter produced with a flared cut neck opening over step cuts down the long neck interrupted by a horizontal motif band with fine cross hatching. At the top of the neck, just under the opening, appears to be fluted cuts. Body has three rows of motifs that include hobstars with raised centers and stars surrounded by areas of fine crosshatching. The miter cuts are very deep on this piece and every inch of surface has been cut. The base is flat with the lower edges formed by the deep miters. Stopper is a faceted ball, possibly the original. It appears to fit neatly into the opening. Excellent condition with minor fleabites. Stratford pattern was one of Libbey's more famous patterns and highly collectible in the market. This particular form of decanter is somewhat atypical of the decanter shapes produced during the Brilliant Period of cut glass production.

The cuts are even and well executed and the blank has excellent clarity, depth and shape. Thank you for looking at my listing. Measures approximately 9 3/4" without stopper and 13" with stopper.
