LIBBEY rare KIMBERLY goose neck decanter WC Anderson pattern

  
KIMBERLY goose neck decanter with matching pattern cut stopper. Cut in the same style s the Harvard decanter (see photo of page from the ACGA Libbey red catalog reprint). This measures approximately 12 7/8 tall. Stopper is 4 1/2 in length.

This is an early LIBBEY pattern. This is a pattern of CAKE hobstars, double miters(a standard WC Anderon motif). The KIMBERLY patent application date is 18 December 1891. Patent granted 8 March 1892.

Few if any Kimberly pattern items were marked Libbey (the marking began in 1896). This goose neck decanter is 123 to 126 years old. Cut on a clear white blank.

A DOUBLE diamond band neck. I DON'T SEE OR FEEL ANY FLEA BITES. Stopper has some faint scratches on the base. But the flat bottom base of the stopper presents as somewhat surface.

BOTH THE STOPPER AND BOTTLE HAVE A MARK OF A BACKWARDS 7. I would state that this DECANTER AND STOPPER ARE IN. It is a RARELY seen style. Overall I see two tiny flea bites in this 122 year old item.
