Late 1800s/early 1900s German Silver Overlay Cut Glass Decanter Bottle. Presented is a fabulous German silver overlay cut glass decanter bottle. This piece dates to the late 1800s or early 1900s.
The silver overlay is very detailed and well done, showing ornate scenes of putti playing musical instruments, holding up a theatre mask, in flight holding scrolls, etc. Surrounding the putti are ornate floral swags, scrolls and urn designs. The lid has a finial in the form of a putti raising a cup to be filled. The glass of the bottle is beautifully cut and etched with intricate floral and foliate designs.
This piece is in great condition. The glass has no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs. The silver overlay is all intact, with no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
