Georgian 3 collar ring (faceted), mushroom stopper decanter circa 1820. This is a lovely hand blown decanter with a ground pontil mark, and bubble imperfections in the glass. The collar rings are irregular, laid on, then faceted. The join of the liquid glass rings can be seen in each ring. The thicknesses of the rings are.
The panels ground under the bottom ring are ground right up to the base of the ring even though the ring is thinner in parts (see photos). The original stopper fits smoothly, is moulded and has a cross engraved top. This is a delightful and fabulous piece of old glass. Height with stopper: 23cms (8 3/4).
