Presented is a fabulous Napoleonic glass decanter with faceted stopper. This piece dates to the early/mid 1800s, and is of French or other continental European origin.
The decanter is beautifully made, hand blown with a polished pontil visible on the underside. The bottle is paneled around the lower half of the body, with tapering paneled designs around the neck. The front of the bottle has an acid etched design of the letter N beneath the Crown of Napoleon. The bottle is in great condition.The stopper sits nicely in the neck. There are no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs. The bottle stands about 8 5/8 inches tall.
