Early American Brilliant Period Cut Glass Ships Decanter WithDraped Pattern Exc

  

This is a beautiful cut glass ships decanter from the early part of the American Brilliant Period of cut glass. It measures 10 1/2" tall and 5 1/2" wide at the widest part. It has a rare draped pattern around the body. It is a "two ring" decanter as there are two rings around the neck. There is a pattern of three glass rings repeated in the body of the decanter.

The decanter weighs 4 1/2 lbs. The stopper fits well and is has the same pattern as the body of the decanter. The stopper has a 16 star point that matches the 16 point star on the bottom of the decanter. The condition of decanter and stopper is excellent without cracks or chips. There is no residue in the bottom.
