C1820 ANTIQUE REGENCY CUT GLASS BARREL DECANTER SET BLACK PAPIER MACHE STAND. An impressive antique Regency set of three barrel cut glass glass decanters contained with a period black papier mache stand. The decanters have narrow cut fluting to the lower body with diamond cutting to the body and three applied rings to the neck.

The decanters have hollow mushroom stoppers. The black papier mache stand as brass fittings and supports. It stands upon three brass feet and has a brass handle in the centre. The stand and the decanters both date C1820. 24 photos in gallery below.

Please scroll down to view all photos. Decanter measures 20.5cm 8 1/8 tall. Height with stand is 23.5cm 9 1/4 tall.

(measurements and weights where specified are approximate). A small chip to the top of one of the stoppers.

Decanters and stoppers with occasional flea bites here and there including on rim. Typical for decanters from this period. The stoppers do have some air bubble inclusions from manfacture as shown with arrow in photos. This is not a fault but mentioned for clarity of description.

The papier mache stand is generally good with some cracking to the papier mache. The central brass handle is loose and has a replacement bolt on the underside. Please gauge condition using photos provided. Please scroll down for more photos and information. To keep up to date on our new listings.
