Beautiful Edinburgh Cut Crystal THISTLE Engraved Square Decanter. MINT CONDITION
This listing is for a RARE to see MAGNIFICENT Edinburgh Thistle Square DECANTER. It is mainly a square shape but has the added detail of the corners being cut 3.75 which actually makes it octagonal. This adds to its beauty. It has never been used and there is no damage whatsoever.
Please see all of the photos as they are part of the description. It is very heavy and weighs a fraction under a 2KG. It is 10.5 high and 4 across the base. The lower third is classy miniature hobnail, so light catching, is cut with the thistle engraveing on all four sides in the upper half with more curved facets around the midrif. Along the top has more line cutting that reflects the square shape and angled corners.
The neck is facet cut to a flared neck entrance. The blown stopper is 5 with 2 across the 8 star cut top. The lower part of the stopper is faceted into the miniature hobnail followed by the thistle engraving on two side in a flared shape to the top.If you want any more information please message me.
