This a wonderful panel cut decanter circa 1880 in a rare bell-shaped form attributed to J. Hoare, Similar to Monarch pattern listed in the catalog. It features a ball neck that is faceted, matching numbers on the rim and stopper and matching cut stars on the bottom of the decanter and the top of the stopper. Excellent, few fleabites on the base.
A thin ring of water stain around the base, mild faint scratch on the inside possibly from attempt of cleaning as shown in picture. A tiny chip on the stopper as shown in picture. Measures 12.5"h including stopper (9.5" without stopper) x 5 1/4 d at the base. Any question please le time know.
