Antique Vintage Estate 2 Cranberry Cut Glass Hand Painted Mantle Lusters Prisms

  

This pair of Ruby or Cranberry glass mantle lusters belonged to my great aunt Ethel. I visited her home in Omaha, Nebraska as a young boy in the 1960s. Already in her late 60's/early 70's I remember being in awe of her home that was filled with many beautiful things, including Turkish hand woven rugs, Irish and English porcelain, and hand crafted mahogany furniture.

And so, these lovely lusters are ready to move along and become part of your story. They are about 9 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches wide.

They are hand painted and decorated with 8 prisms each. They have some accumulated dust and I have not washed them so as not to cause any unnecessary damage. They have been lightly dusted.

They are very heavy - almost 3 pounds each! They are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks that I have found. They will be packed extremely carefully with the prisms removed. There appears to be one tiny mark of stray gold paint on the top of one luster. (See photo 8) There are no markings that I can identify as to the maker.
