Antique Victorian/Edwardian etched spirits (port/sherry/brandy) decanter and 2 air trapped stem glasses with same (but smaller) etching. The decanter is made of crystal, hand-etched with grapevines, similar etching on the hollow stopper, which has a small flower-head finish on the top, a cut star under. The glasses are round shape, air trapped stems and plain base with ground pontil.
I hope you get more idea of the design by browsing the pictures. The decanter is medium-thick crystal, very even, lighter than you'd expect and it's much less shiny than modern crystal. The etching gives it matte satin finish and the play of light on it is very pretty. Most amazing is the condition of the decanter: lots of wear under, but nothing on the sides, no cloudiness, 2 tiny marks (less than sugar-grain, one on the lip, the other on the stopper, the last could also be a bit of grit as it has dark centre). The glasses have few flicks of wear, but not a lot, no damage.
Decanter height (with stopper on):36,8cm/14,5, weight 1,237kg. Glasses : diameter of the rim 6cm, under 6,2cm, height 12cm, weight 98 and 111grams.
