Antique French Cut Crystal Raised Enamel Gilt Liquor Service Decanter Cordials

  

Gorgeous antique French 8 piece hand painted and gilded crystal liquor service, aperitif / liqueur set. Comprising of a stoppered decanter, 6 cordial glasses with clear stems and circular bases, and a round tray with gilded rim. The set is of quality hand blown clear crystal glass decorated in colorful enameling.

The cordial glasses exhibiting a lovely musical ring when tapped. The decanter features a ruffled rim terminating to a slender neck with a textured surface and richly decorated with reflective gold gilding.

Having a flared body and an applied glass handle with gilded finish. A charming springtime motif adorns the decanter and glassware, beautifully hand painted in colorful raised enamel. The pattern consists of gilded baskets suspended from ribbon bows and gilded swags, overflowing with blue flowers and pink roses nestled among lush greenery. In overall good condition with general wear, no chips or cracks. The enamel decoration is in good order as is the gilding with little to no wear. Some airbubbles to the glass. Some fleabites to the rims on the cordials and tray, common as the cuts were often not very well polished after cutting on these old hand blown sets. Decanter stands 10 7/8" tall, cordials are 3 1/2" tall. Tray has an 8" diameter and 3/4" height.
