Antique Etched and gold gilding crystal decanter. This is a PRETTY and VERY UNUSUAL glass decanter (carafe). Totally in the Saint-Louis manner.

Large and impressive decanter, heavy cut crystal, diamond shape stopper, and base. Nicely decorated in acid etched, garlands, and floral motifs in the Louis XVI style. The gold gilding highlights decoration, gives more elegance and luxury to the piece.

Engraved number 37 on the stopper and also the main carafe (same number 37). Please see photos carefully to admire the beauty of the work. H : 15 inches (38 cm).

Diameter at the top: 1.75 inches (4.5 cm). W : 5 inches (12.5 cm). Diameter at the base : 4 inches (10 cm). Weight : 1 lb 15 oz (890 grams). No chips, cracks or any damage. Minor scratches to the underside, consistent with age and use. Engraved number 37 (stopper and decanter).

Rubbing to the gold gilding decoration, consistent with age and use. Very small chip at the stopper on one side (see last photo). Clean and ready to be placed.
