This sale is for a very unusually styled pair of late 19th century cut glass decanters with elaborate geometric prunts, coiled neck rings, and star cut bases. They carry a beautifully detailed coat-of-arms to the front with lions rampant, unicorns, and a variety of other heraldic motifs - above this is a coronet with 9 pearls, indicating that these were owned by a British Baronet (or Count, the equivalent noble title if the first owner was from Spain, France, or Portugal). Measuring 25.5cm (10) tall including the stopper and weighing 2.4kg in total these small decanters were for personal use, and likely resided in their owners library or study. The coat-of-arms can be researched further, as these are a matter of public record.

They are both in very good condition with only a few small chips and nibbles to the large prunts and some scattered fleabites, none of which are visible against the busy background. There is also movement wear to the base of both (as it to be expected). Antique Victorian Engraved Glass Decanter Pair Baronet/Count Coat of Arms c1890s. Please return within 30 days of receipt. I have collected glass and ceramics, antiques and antiquities for many years, and my shop philosophy is to sell very good antiques at.

Quickly so I do not need to carry much stock; larger shops will charge much more, but take much longer than I do to make a sale. I try to describe everything I sell as honestly as possible, including any damage, issues, or attributions to a maker, in my descriptions. Please dont ever leave negative or neutral feedback without speaking to me we can always come to a solution.
