Antique English Tantalus By Betjemann, Cut Glass Decanters & Silverplate Holder. The tantalus measures approximately 9.5" x 4" and 7.75 high. It does not have it's key so someone took the lock off and unlocked the tumblers so that it will open without a key. The side of the tantalus that has the lock on it has a little play in it but it doesn't affect anything.
The plating looks to be in great condition but I did not polish it. It is well made and the bottles sink into it. The bottles measure 5.25" high with the stoppers and 3.5" high without the stoppers, and 1.875 in diameter. The bottles all have some small chips in the pattern and large chips on the bottoms. The chips on the bottom can't be seen when they are in the tantalus. They are all clear and free of residue. The stoppers fit very snugly, with zero play.
