This tall and stately pair of highly decorated early cut glass decanters measure 14 and 14 1/2 inches tall respectively. Like many early examples of hand made and hand decorated glassware, each member of the pair, though sharing the same design, has its own unique characteristics which set it apart from the other. For example, one stopper is more pointed than the other.
Even the classic Greek key designs, a favorite of the Boston and Sandwich Company, differ ever so slightly in size and shape. The bottles are in excellent antique condition, and display beautifully, either empty or filled with your favorite vintage of wine or spirits. Most of the glass is shiny and clear, with only a bit of cloudiness here and there. Although one stopper, marked 29, is chipped at the base, it still inserts securely into its companion decanter, also marked 29 on the rim.
The other decanter is marked 43 on the rim, and its stopper is unmarked. This distinctive pair of iconic American decanters would add a touch of authenticity and elegance to any room or décor.
