Anglo-Irish Liquor Decanter 3 Ring Neck Cut Glass 1840s Antique Crystal. The style is very British but there were also similar styles being produced in America at that time as English glass makers emigrated to the East Coast. As an example there are very similar features to decanters in the pattern books of Molineaux Webb of Manchester, England, but I have also seen similar features, shapes and stoppers on some Boston & Sandwich decanters shown in my cut glass books.
This decanter measures 10" tall including the stopper, and 4 1/4" in diameter. It is hand cut with panels around the shoulder. The base is ground and polished with a star cut in it.
The size of the bottle would be perfect for Scotch, Sherry or other Liquors. In excellent condition the bottle has no chips, nicks or cracks at all and just a little light wear from age. It has some faint water staining on the inside but not enough to detract from the piece. Occasionally things may take a day or two longer but I will contact you if that is the case.
