Abp Circa 1900 American brilliant cut glass decanter, clear ovoid blank, Cane motif, matching number and motif cut hollow stopper, St Louis Diamond motif (hollow diamonds) on neck and stopper with artfully flared spout, notched thumb hold on excellent flat plain cut handle, thirty-two point rayed star on base and sixteen point rayed star on top of stopper. 10.5 tall, 6 front to handle, 3.5 deep.
Stopper 4 long, 1.5 dia. Florescence - lime green, matching florescence on bottle and stopper. Condition overall excellent, some rim flakes on rim, light cloudiness on interior bottom. This popular pattern Cane - Buttons & Double Mitre Trellis had different names by various companies, Hob Diamond & Lace/Dorflinger and Libbey, Lace Hobnail/Hawkes, Oct[agon] Hobnail/Hoare, Octagon Diamond. Similar pattern on pitcher cut in Cane, Rarities in American Cut Glass, pg136 (vertical double trellis).
