19c Inlaid Tantalus/Decanter Box Complete

  

A fabulous late 19c serpentine front tantalus/decanter box with complete interior C1900. The cabinet is in superb condition having been professionally restored a few years ago and has the most amazing colour and grain. The interior has black felt which although has some staining and odd mark is in very good order. There are four full hobnail cut decanters with facet stoppers and in excellent condition. All decanter collars and stoppers are very good with only the tinniest nibble to end of stopper and I do mean tiny but mentioned for accuracy.

There are eight square base cordial/sherry glasses and six engraved glasses and all perfect. It has its original lock but the key is not original and does not turn but is easier to open with it in. You can have one cut fairly cheaply should you wish but has never bothered me. The condition of the cabinet is near mint and has been lovingly waxed regularly since it was restored.
