Here's a matching pair of early cut flint glass paneled decanters from the Civil War era or earlier.... They both have their original cut paneled, hollow blown glass stoppers, which are hard to find! 10 cut panels with 10 cut panels around shoulder also.... Applied big ring at base of neck....
8 cut panels around neck.... Cut sunburst bottoms, with one still having a vestige remaining of the pontil scar..... 8 3/4"tall (12"with stopper).....
Original hollow blown stoppers each have 7 cut sides with 7 cut panels around top form point. Stoppers are not ground; they were hand polished to fit perfect in neck of decanters...... Both decanters are sparkling attic nice with no chips or damage of any kind.
Sparkling clean with no haze. Both stoppers have a couple small shallow chips on bottom and a couple tiny nicks on top.
You are getting BOTH decanters. THIS IS A FIXED PRICE PAIR FOR SALE IN MY STORE. Unless you contact me first.
