Presented is a beautiful cut glass and silver overlay decanter or bottle. The bottle is beautifully cut and frosted with elegant foliate and floral designs. The silver overlay is ornate and detailed, depicting typical genre scenes of people playing musical instruments amidst Rococo designs. The silver overlay on the collar of the bottle, shows classical frolicking cherubs amidst flowers and scrolls. There is a cartouche on the front and back of the bottle, one of which is monogrammed ESK in elegant script. The other cartouche is blank. The stopper of the bottle doubles as a pouring spout. This stopper is silver plated, while all the rest of the silver is solid sterling.The bottle is in great overall condition. The glass has no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs. The silver is all intact and firmly attached to the glass.
Some of the cork on the stopper is missing, but the stopper fits well nonetheless. The silver is stamped with the Mauser maker's mark as well as sterling 925/1000 fine. The bottle is about 10 1/2 inches tall including the stopper. Because we are resellers, we are able to offer you more for your items than what scrappers would offer.
