Antique Bohemian-style Cut Glass Acid-etched Triangular Decanter Extra Tall

  

Offered for sale is this fabulously decorated antique decanter in an unusual triangular style. The etching is in the Bohemian style that we expect to see in pieces with colored flashing cut to the clear glass. However, this piece is all clear. The decor on each of the three sides is different.

On the first side is a galloping stallion in a forest; on the second and third sides are exotic birds, one facing right and the other facing left, among lush foliage. The edges of the decanter, its base, the feet, and the sides of the stopper all are heavily cut. The decanter itself is 9-1/2 inches tall, and with the stopper in place, it is an impressive 14-1/2 inches tall. The stopper itself is 6-1/8 inches long; there is a chip at the base of the stopper, as shown in photo #4.

When the stopper is in place, though, the chip is not visible. There is a minute fleabite at the very tip of the stopper, but one can feel it more than see it.
