This item is a Libbey AMERICAN BRILLIANT CUT GLASS Corinthian Pattern Water Bottle. It is cut on Libbeys #156 Water Bottle blank. Called a water bottle in the 1898 catalog, it is an open top serving carafe that never used a stopper or cover.

The 1898 Libbey catalog offered this model carafe available in two cut patterns; Corinthian Pattern (offered here) or Waverly Pattern. Size : 8.25 tall x approximately 6 diameter belly. Weight : 3.5 lbs unpacked.

Very good condition with the exception of some small very shallow rough frits isolated on one side (out of the 8 sides) of the top lip surface. It is otherwise near fine condition with out any other issues to speak of. The glass is very bright and clear.

As always, due to age may have slight imperfections such as minor scuffs, scratches, trim wear, and/or slight manufacturing detects. Please view all photos as they are part of this condition report.
