Abp Circa 1900 American brilliant cut glass decanter, ewer, possibly Hawkes, Tuthill or Libbey, deep Gravic style engraving in thistle motifwith scrolling foliage, panel or flute cut well-shaped body, solid handle, sixteen point rayed star on bottom, missing stopper 6.75 tall, 6.5 front to handle. Stopper dia-approx 7/8 - 1 1/8 dia. Condition overall excellent, no chips or repairs, light spotting on interior/uncleaned, missing stopper. Several companies patented these floral motifs in the early 1900 to keep up with the simpler designs in vogue at this period during the early 20.
These included Tuthill, Hawkes, Libbey, Sinclair, Pairpoint and others.
