19c Two Decanter Tantalus/ Decanter Box C1890

  
In lovely condition with block veneer pattern and brass banding with contrast dark wood which gives it a wonderful decorative appeal. The box is lined in red velvet and has its working lock and key. The decanters are full size 8 inches high[21cm] and 3.5 ins square[9cm] and have facet cut shoulders with mushroom stoppers and star cut bases. One has a very tiny flea bite to the rim but to small to photograph. The box measures 9 inches high[23cm] x 9.75 ins[25cm] x 5.5 ins deep[14cm]. There is a brass top carry handle and a shield cartouche to the front lock. There are one or two marks.

With age and use but as the photo's show it is in great condition with a lovely colour and patina.
